Marriage Between Nepali Citizens
For Nepali citizens, a court marriage is the most direct way to get a legally valid marriage certificate. It is the perfect choice for those who prefer to complete the formalities without traditional religious or social rituals.
The Process:
Fulfill Eligibility: Ensure both parties are at least 20 years old and unmarried.
Document Preparation: Gather essential documents, including citizenship certificates and unmarried/divorcee status letters from your respective ward offices. Citizenship certificates of two witnesses are also required.
Application Submission: We will help you prepare and submit the marriage registration application to the District Court.
Verification & Consent: The court will review the application. Both you and your witnesses will sign a deed of consent, affirming your mutual acceptance.
Receive Your Certificate: Within a week of the final hearing, you will be issued your official Marriage Registration Certificate, making your union legally recognized.
Marriage Between a Nepali and a Foreigner
Uniting with a partner from a different country is a beautiful journey, and we are experts in navigating the legal requirements for a successful international court marriage in Nepal.
The Process:
Fulfill Eligibility: Ensure both you and your foreign partner are at least 20 years old and unmarried. The foreigner must also have resided in the relevant district for at least 15 days.
Foreigner's Documents: The foreign national must obtain a "No-Objection Letter" from their respective embassy in Nepal, confirming their eligibility to marry. We will also provide translation services for preparing a translated, notarized copy of their home country's marriage law.
Nepali Partner's Documents: The Nepali citizen will provide their citizenship certificate and a letter from their ward office.
Application & Hearing: We will help you submit the application to the District Court. During the court hearing, both parties and witnesses will confirm their consent.
Get Your Certificate: After the legal review, the court will issue your official Marriage Registration Certificate, a crucial document for international legal recognition.
